In the workshop, maintaining order is half the battle. Almost as important: having the right tools. Having the right tool on hand when you need it saves time and, more importantly, reduces stress. There are several specialized tools for maintenance work on our Hatz engines, designed to make work on your engine and machine easier. To make things easier for you, a large number of special tools are now available in the Parts Store.

In the online store, the Special Tool submenu is located on the main menu under Service. In the submenu, you can select whether you want to restore, service, or repair your engine. The tools are clearly named according to the features they offer for the various stages of handling your engine. For example, the store lists the piston-ring collet chuck diameter 70-100mm for our B, D, G, H, L and M engines. The tools are easy to find via the smart search. With this example, just enter “piston ring” and the smart system will display a number of piston ring sets together with the collet chuck. Naturally, you can conduct your regular search by engine family or serial number to locate the tool you’re looking for.

The range includes just over 60 special tools (as of February 2023). The range includes anything from straightforward sockets, like those in the example, to a (dis)assembly table perfectly suited to Hatz H-engines.
