1. Data Protection at a Glance

1.1 General Notes

The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data with which you can be personally identified. Detailed information on data protection can be found in our privacy policy listed below this text.

1.2 Data Collection on This Website

Who is responsible for data collection on this website?

Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find the operator’s contact details in the section “Note on the Responsible Party” in this privacy policy.

How do we collect your data?

Your data is collected in part by you providing it to us. This could, for example, be data you enter in a contact form.

Other data is collected automatically or with your consent when you visit the website by our IT systems. These are mainly technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system, or time of page access). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter this website.

What do we use your data for?

Part of the data is collected to ensure the website is provided without errors. Other data can be used to analyze your user behavior.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipient, and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the correction or deletion of this data. If you have given consent to data processing, you may revoke this consent at any time for the future. You also have the right, under certain circumstances, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

You can contact us at any time regarding this and other questions on the topic of data protection.

1.3 Analysis Tools and Third-Party Tools

When you visit this website, your surfing behavior may be statistically evaluated. This is mainly done using analysis programs.

Detailed information on these analysis programs can be found in the following privacy policy.

2. Hosting and Content Delivery Networks (CDN)

2.1 External Hosting

This website is hosted by an external service provider (host). The personal data collected on this website is stored on the servers of the host. This may include, in particular, IP addresses, contact requests, meta and communication data, contract data, contact details, names, website accesses, and other data generated via a website.

The use of the host is for the purpose of fulfilling contracts with our potential and existing customers (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR) and in the interest of a secure, fast, and efficient provision of our online offering by a professional provider (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).

Our host will process your data only to the extent necessary to fulfill its service obligations and follow our instructions regarding this data.

We use the following host:

ScaleCommerce GmbH
Fraunhoferstraße 23A
D-10587 Berlin

Order Processing

We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with the above-mentioned provider. This is a contract required by data protection law that ensures that the provider processes the personal data of our website visitors only according to our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

2.2 Cloudflare

We use the service "Cloudflare". The provider is Cloudflare Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (hereinafter "Cloudflare").

Cloudflare offers a globally distributed content delivery network with DNS. Technically, the information transfer between your browser and our website is routed through the Cloudflare network. This enables Cloudflare to analyze the traffic between your browser and our website and to serve as a filter between our servers and potentially malicious traffic from the Internet. Cloudflare may also use cookies or other technologies to recognize Internet users, but only for the aforementioned purpose.

The use of Cloudflare is based on our legitimate interest in providing our website as error-free and securely as possible (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).

Data transfer to the USA is based on the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Details can be found here: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.

More information on security and data protection at Cloudflare can be found here: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.

3. General Notes and Mandatory Information

3.1 Data Protection

The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

When you use this website, various personal data are collected. Personal data is data with which you can be personally identified. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this happens.

We would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may have security vulnerabilities. A complete protection of the data against access by third parties is not possible.

Note on the responsible party

The responsible party for data processing on this website is:

Motorenfabrik Hatz GmbH & Co. KG
Ernst-Hatz-Str. 16
D-94099 Ruhstorf an der Rott

Phone: +49 8531 319-0
Email: info [at] hatz-diesel.de

The responsible party is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, email addresses, etc.).

3.2 Storage Duration

Unless a more specific storage period is stated within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you assert a legitimate request for deletion or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g. tax or commercial law retention periods); in the latter case, deletion will take place after these reasons cease to apply.

3.3 Data Protection Officer

We have appointed a data protection officer for our company.

Mr. Michael Gruber
BSP-SECURITY
Franz-Mayer-Str. 1
D-93053 Regensburg

Phone: +49 941 46290929
Email: michael.gruber [at] bsp-security.de

3.4 Note on data transfer to the USA and other third countries

We use, among other things, tools from companies based in the USA or other countries that are not considered safe from a data protection perspective. If these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to these third countries and processed there. We would like to point out that in these countries, a level of data protection comparable to that in the EU cannot be guaranteed. For example, US companies are obliged to hand over personal data to security authorities without you being able to take legal action against this. It can therefore not be ruled out that US authorities (e.g. intelligence services) process, evaluate and permanently store your data located on US servers for monitoring purposes. We have no influence on these processing activities.

3.5 Withdrawal of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct advertising (Art. 21 GDPR)

IF THE DATA PROCESSING IS BASED ON ART. 6 PARA. 1 LIT. E OR F GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME, FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION, TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR AFFECTED PERSONAL DATA UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING THAT OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS OR THE PROCESSING SERVES TO ASSERT, EXERCISE OR DEFEND LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21 PARA. 1 GDPR).

IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH ADVERTISING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING INSOFAR AS IT IS ASSOCIATED WITH SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL THEN NO LONGER BE USED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21 PARA. 2 GDPR).

3.6 Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

If there are violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint exists without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.

3.7 Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.

3.8 SSL or TLS encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

3.9 Encrypted payment transactions on this website

If, after concluding a paid contract, there is an obligation to transmit your payment data (e.g. account number for direct debit authorization), this data is required for payment processing.

Payment transactions via the common means of payment (Visa/MasterCard, direct debit) are made exclusively via an encrypted SSL or TLS connection. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

With encrypted communication, your payment data that you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

3.10 Right to information, deletion and correction

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to correction or deletion of this data. For this purpose, as well as for other questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time.

3.11 Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time regarding this. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

  • If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.

  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.

  • If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it is not yet clear whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data – apart from its storage – may only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

3.12 Objection to promotional emails

The use of contact data published within the framework of the imprint obligation for sending unsolicited advertising and information material is hereby objected to. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam emails.

4. Data collection on this website

4.1 Cookies

Our websites use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files and do not cause any damage to your device. They are either stored temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit ends. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or your web browser automatically deletes them.

In some cases, cookies from third-party companies may also be stored on your device when you enter our site (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain services provided by the third-party company (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).

Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. shopping cart function or displaying videos). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behavior or display advertising.

Cookies that are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process (necessary cookies) or to provide certain functions you desire (functional cookies, e.g. for the shopping cart function) or to optimize the website (e.g. cookies for measuring web audience) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies was requested, the storage of the relevant cookies is based exclusively on this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR); consent can be revoked at any time.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Insofar as cookies from third-party companies or for analysis purposes are used, we will inform you about this separately within this privacy policy and, if necessary, request your consent.

4.2 Consent with Usercentrics

This website uses the Usercentrics consent technology to obtain your consent to store certain cookies on your device or to use certain technologies in a data protection compliant manner. The provider of this technology is Usercentrics GmbH, Sendlinger Straße 7, 80331 Munich, Website: https://usercentrics.com/de/ (hereinafter referred to as “Usercentrics”).

  • Your consent(s) or the withdrawal of your consent(s)

  • Your IP address

  • Information about your browser

  • Information about your device

  • Time of your visit to the website

Furthermore, Usercentrics stores a cookie in your browser in order to be able to assign the granted consents or their revocation. The data collected in this way is stored until you request us to delete it, delete the Usercentrics cookie yourself or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.

The use of Usercentrics takes place to obtain the legally required consents for the use of certain technologies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR.

Data Processing Agreement

We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with the aforementioned provider. This is a contract required by data protection law that ensures that this provider processes the personal data of our website visitors only according to our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

4.3 Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version

  • Operating system used

  • Referrer URL

  • Host name of the accessing computer

  • Time of the server request

  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.

The collection of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of its website – for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.

4.4 Contact form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form including the contact details you provide there will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, provided your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of inquiries directed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if requested.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after completion of your inquiry). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

We reserve the right to forward your inquiries for business processing purposes to our branches and service partners (national and international). The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1f GDPR).

You can find details of our service network under the following link: https://network.hatz-diesel.com/index.php?id=main-map

4.5 Inquiry via email, telephone or fax

If you contact us via email, telephone or fax, your inquiry including all resulting personal data (name, inquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not share this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, provided that your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR), if this was requested.

The data you send to us via contact inquiries will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been fully processed). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

We reserve the right to forward your inquiries to our branches and service partners (national and international) for business processing purposes. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR).

5. Analysis Tools and Advertising

5.1 Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Tag Manager is a tool that allows us to integrate tracking or statistical tools and other technologies on our website. Google Tag Manager itself does not create user profiles, store cookies, or carry out any independent analysis. It only serves to manage and deliver the tools integrated via it. However, Google Tag Manager does collect your IP address, which may also be transferred to the parent company of Google in the United States.

The use of Google Tag Manager is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in a fast and uncomplicated integration and management of various tools on their website. If a corresponding consent has been requested, processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR; consent can be withdrawn at any time.

5.2 Google Analytics 4

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"), which allows analysis of your use of our website.

By default, when visiting the website, Google Analytics 4 sets cookies that are stored as small text files on your end device and collect certain information. This also includes your IP address, which is, however, shortened by Google before storage to prevent direct personal identification.

The information is transferred to Google servers and processed there. This may also involve transfers to Google LLC, based in the USA.

Google uses the information collected on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide us with other services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google. Data collected through the use of Google Analytics 4 is stored for a period of two months and then deleted.

All processing described above, particularly the setting of cookies on the end device used, only takes place if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. Without your consent, Google Analytics 4 will not be used during your visit to the website. You can withdraw your consent at any time with future effect. To exercise your withdrawal, please deactivate this service via the “cookie consent tool” provided on the website.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google that ensures the protection of the data of our site visitors and prohibits unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

Further legal information about Google Analytics 4 can be found at https://business.safety.google/intl/de/privacy/, https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=de, and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

Demographic characteristics
Google Analytics 4 uses the special function “demographic characteristics” to generate statistics about the age, gender, and interests of site visitors. This is based on the analysis of advertising and information from third parties. It enables the identification of marketing target groups. However, the collected data cannot be assigned to any specific person and is deleted after two months.

Google Signals
As an extension to Google Analytics 4, Google Signals may be used on this website to generate cross-device reports. If you have enabled personalized ads and your devices are linked to your Google account, Google can – subject to your consent to the use of Google Analytics as per Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR – analyze your usage behavior across devices and create database models, including cross-device conversions. We do not receive any personal data from Google, only statistics. If you wish to stop cross-device analysis, you can deactivate the "Personalized advertising" function in your Google account settings. Follow the instructions on this page: https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=de. Further information about Google Signals can be found at: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7532985?hl=de

UserIDs
As an extension to Google Analytics 4, the “UserIDs” function can be used on this website. If you have consented to the use of Google Analytics 4 according to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR, created an account on this website and log in on various devices with this account, your activities, including conversions, can be analyzed across devices.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European data protection level on the basis of an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

5.3 Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense, a web advertising service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). Google AdSense uses so-called cookies, which are text files stored on your computer that allow an analysis of your use of the website. In addition, Google AdSense uses so-called "web beacons" (invisible graphics) to collect information, which can be used to record, collect, and evaluate visitor traffic on the website. The information generated by the cookie and/or web beacon (including your IP address) about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server and stored there. This may also result in transmission to the servers of Google LLC. in the USA.

Google uses the information obtained in this way to evaluate your usage behavior with regard to AdSense ads. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google AdSense is not merged with other data from Google. The information collected by Google may be transferred to third parties if required by law and/or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google.
All the processing described above, especially the reading of information on the used device via cookies and/or web beacons, is carried out only if you have given us your express consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR. Without this consent, Google AdSense will not be used during your visit to the website.

You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service via the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

Further information on Google’s privacy policies can be found here: https://business.safety.google/intl/de/privacy/ and https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

5.4 Meta Pixel

We use the "Meta Pixel" service from the following provider as part of our online offering: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Meta")

If a user clicks on an ad we run on Facebook and/or Instagram, the URL of our linked page is extended by a parameter using "Meta Pixel". After redirection, this URL parameter is entered into the user's browser via a cookie set by our linked page.

This allows Meta to determine the visitors of our online offering as a target group for the display of ads ("ads"). Accordingly, we use the service to display our Facebook and/or Instagram ads only to those users who have shown an interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g., interest in certain topics or products, determined by visited websites), which we transmit to Meta ("Custom Audiences").

In addition, "Meta Pixel" can be used to track whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on an ad and what actions they took there ("conversion tracking").

The collected data is anonymous to us and does not allow us to identify the user. However, the data is stored and processed by Meta, making it possible to connect to the respective user profile, and Meta can use the data for its own advertising purposes.

All the processing described above, especially the setting of cookies for reading information on the used device, is carried out only if you have given us your express consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider to ensure the protection of our site visitors' data and to prevent unauthorized disclosure to third parties.

The information generated by Meta is usually transmitted to a Meta server and stored there; this may also involve transmission to Meta Platforms Inc. servers in the USA.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

5.5 Google Ads Conversion Tracking

This website uses the online advertising program "Google Ads" and, as part of Google Ads, conversion tracking from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). We use the offer of Google Ads to draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites with the help of advertising materials (so-called Google Ads). In relation to the data from the advertising campaigns, we can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are. We aim to show you advertising that is of interest to you, make our website more interesting for you, and achieve a fair calculation of advertising costs.

The cookie for conversion tracking is set when a user clicks on a Google Ads ad. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. These cookies usually lose their validity after 30 days and are not intended to identify you personally. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot be tracked via the websites of Google Ads customers. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. The customers find out the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users. As part of the use of Google Ads, personal data may also be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC. in the USA.

Details about the processing triggered by Google Ads Conversion Tracking and Google's handling of data from websites can be found here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

You can also permanently object to the setting of cookies by Google Ads Conversion Tracking by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link:
https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin?hl=de

Please note that certain functions of this website may not work or may only work to a limited extent if you deactivate the use of cookies.
Google's privacy policies can be found here: https://business.safety.google/intl/de/privacy/ and https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

5.6 Microsoft Advertising Universal Event Tracking

This website uses conversion tracking technology from the following provider: Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA

For the use of Universal Event Tracking, a tag is embedded on each page of our website that interacts with the conversion cookie set by Microsoft. This interaction makes user behavior on our website traceable and sends the collected information to Microsoft. This is done in order to statistically record and evaluate predefined goals such as purchases or leads, and to tailor the content of our offers to the interests of our visitors. The tags are never used to personally identify users.

All the processing described above, especially the setting of cookies for reading information on the used device, is carried out only if you have given us your express consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR. Without this consent, retargeting technology will not be used during your visit to the site.

You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your right of revocation, please deactivate this service in the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website.

For data transfers to the USA, the provider has joined the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures compliance with the European level of data protection based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

6. Newsletter

Newsletter Data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we need an email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

The processing of the data entered into the newsletter subscription form is based solely on your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the email address, and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you provide to us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and deleted from the newsletter distribution list after unsubscribing or after the purpose no longer applies. We reserve the right to delete or block email addresses from our newsletter distribution list at our own discretion within the scope of our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR.

After unsubscribing from the newsletter distribution list, your email address may be stored in a blacklist by us or the newsletter service provider to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist will only be used for this purpose and not combined with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with legal requirements for sending newsletters (legitimate interest in the sense of Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). Storage in the blacklist is not limited in time. You can object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.

7. Plugins and Tools

7.1 YouTube with enhanced data protection

This website embeds videos from YouTube. The operator of the pages is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

We use YouTube in enhanced privacy mode. According to YouTube, this mode ensures that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. However, data transmission to YouTube partners is not necessarily excluded by the enhanced privacy mode. For example, YouTube connects to the Google DoubleClick network regardless of whether you watch a video or not.

Once you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection to YouTube’s servers is established. This informs the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to associate your browsing behavior directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

Furthermore, after starting a video, YouTube may store various cookies on your device or use comparable recognition technologies (e.g., device fingerprinting). In this way, YouTube can obtain information about visitors to this website. Among other things, this information is used to collect video statistics, improve user experience, and prevent fraud.

Additional data processing operations may be triggered after starting a YouTube video, over which we have no control.

The use of YouTube is in the interest of providing an appealing presentation of our online offerings. This constitutes a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. - Apple Pay

If you choose the "Apple Pay" payment method provided by Apple Distribution International (Apple), Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland, payment is processed via the "Apple Pay" feature on your device (iOS, watchOS, or macOS) using a payment card stored in Apple Pay. Apple Pay uses security features integrated into your device’s hardware and software to protect your transactions. For approval of a payment, a code set by you and a verification using "Face ID" or "Touch ID" is required.

For payment processing, the information you provide during the order process, along with details of your order, will be passed on to Apple in encrypted form. Apple then re-encrypts this data with a developer-specific key before transmitting it to the payment provider of the payment card stored in Apple Pay. This encryption ensures that only the website used for the purchase can access the payment data. After the payment is completed, Apple sends your device account number and a transaction-specific, dynamic security code to the originating website to confirm payment.

If personal data is processed during these transmissions, it is done solely for payment processing in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR.

Apple stores anonymized transaction data, including the approximate purchase amount, date and time, and whether the transaction was successful. The anonymization ensures that there is no personal reference. Apple uses the anonymized data to improve Apple Pay and other Apple products and services.

If you use Apple Pay on an iPhone or Apple Watch to complete a purchase made via Safari on a Mac, the Mac and the authorization device communicate over an encrypted channel via Apple’s servers. Apple does not process or store this information in any format that can be used to identify you. You can disable the use of Apple Pay on your Mac in your iPhone settings under "Wallet & Apple Pay" by deactivating "Allow Payments on Mac."
