As you may have learned in our earlier tutorials, the 1B engine needs to be cleaned with cleaning rag or brush every 250 operating hours. Today, we’ll demonstrate another step in the maintenance process – one that calls for care on a crucial component. The exhaust strainer in the exhaust manifold must be checked and cleaned every 250 hours. If it’s damaged or dirty, your engine will be noisy. This would naturally make it less comfortable to work with the machine being powered by the Hatz 1B. Our tutorial shows you where to find the screen, the disassembly and assembly methods, and the tools required. Enjoy reading!
